Centeno: 4th review should be completed by May 24; sources say 75 out of 88 ‘prior actions’ pending

The fourth review of the ongoing Greek program should be concluded in a timely manner and at the staff level by May 24, Eurogroup president Mario Centeno underlined in a report covering the last Eurogroup meeting.

Inflation rate in April 2018 unchanged from corresponding month in 2017; marginally up from March 2018

The inflation rate in Greece remained unchanged in April 2018, compared to the same month in 2017, but was increased by 0.9 percent compared to the preceding month, March 2018.

Joblessness in Greece edges up in February

Unemployment in Greece remains stuck at around 20.5-21 percent, as in February the jobless rate stood at 20.8 percent. While this may be 1.8 percentage points down on last year’s downwardly revised rate of 22.6 percent, it is also marginally up on January’s 20.7 percent rate, according to figures released on Thursday by the Hellenic Statistical Authority (ELSTAT).

Greek industrial output rises 1.1 pct y/y in March

Greek industrial output increased 1.1 percent in March compared to the same month last year, after an upwardly revised 1.9 percent decline in February, statistics service ELSTAT said on Thursday.
