ESM’s tranche delay shocks Athens

The European Stability Mechanism (ESM) decided on Friday to withhold the 1 billion euros outstanding from the third bailout review, destined for the repayment of state arrears to third parties.

Latest draft legislation to meet creditors’ requirements for bailout’s 4th review tabled

A draft omnibus bill that includes all of the “prior actions” and reforms demanded by creditors to conclude the fourth and last review of the current memorandum – itself the third successive bailout since 2010 – was tabled in Greece’s Parliament on Friday.

EU says Greece-Turkey readmission deal required for visa waiver

The agreement between Greece and Turkey for the return of migrants that Ankara suspended on Thursday is a “point of reference” for the EU-Turkey statement  on readmissions and constitutes a precondition for the abolition of visas for Turkish citizens, European Commission spokeswoman Natasha Bertaud said on Friday.

FYROM dismisses rumors of rift between PM and FM on name talks

Anarchist group blocked from entering public order ministry; 20 people reportedly detained

Twenty people, identified with a self-styled anarchist group that’s achieved notoriety by barging into ministries and diplomatic missions, usually to throw paint and toss pamphlets, were apprehended on Monday after trying enter the grounds of a multi-storey building housing Greece’s top law enforcement agencies.
