Burson Cohn & Wolfe And The LAGRANT Foundation Welcome Three Interns to The 2018 Harold Burson Summer Internship Program

NEW YORK, June 4, 2018 – Burson Cohn & Wolfe (BCW), a top-three, full-service, global communications agency with deep expertise in digital and integrated communications, and its partner, The LAGRANT Foundation (TLF), will welcome three students from ethnically diverse backgrounds interested in careers in public relations and communications to the 2018 U.S. Harold Burson Summer Internship Program (HSBI). The HBSI program allows junior and senior college students to join the firm’s practice groups and contribute to client work alongside seasoned public relations professionals.

TLF works to increase the number of ethnic minorities in the advertising, marketing and public relations fields. This year, BCW selected Sydney Rodgers, Alicia Tran and Sharon Uche for the TLF-affiliated internship positions.

  • Sydney Rodgers will join the Consumer and Brand Marketing practice in Chicago. She is a recent graduate from Southeast Missouri State University, where she received a Bachelor of Science degree in Mass Communication.
  • Alicia Tran will join the Public Affairs and Crisis practice in Washington, D.C. She received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication and Education Studies from the University of California, Santa Barbara.
  • Sharon Uche will join the Corporate and Financial Communications practice in New York. She received a Master of Science degree in Public Relations from Syracuse University last month.

“It is critical for us to have a strong, diverse team to be relevant to the audiences shaping our clients’ businesses,” said Chris Foster, BCW President, North America. “We are delighted to welcome these talented students to the Harold Burson Summer Internship program and hope they will be inspired to pursue careers in public relations.”

Rodgers, Tran and Uche – along with 23 other HBSI interns – will begin their internship on June 4, 2018. The entire 2018 HBSI class will work across 10 practice and specialty groups throughout seven of the firm’s U.S. offices.
