TLF Welcomes Burson-Marsteller Worldwide Executive Vice President and Chief Business Development Officer Chris Foster to its Board of Directors

The LAGRANT Foundation recently announced the appointment of Chris Foster to its board of directors.

LOS ANGELES February 20, 2018 – The LAGRANT Foundation (TLF) welcomes Chris Foster, Worldwide Executive Vice President and Chief Business Development Officer, Burson-Marsteller, as its latest board member. Foster will serve on the Foundation’s Training & Development Committee.

Foster succeeds Patrick Ford, Worldwide Vice Chair, Senior Adviser, Burson-Marsteller, a longtime TLF supporter who had been a TLF board member since 2016. “While Pat will be missed, I have no doubt he will continue to be engaged in the Foundation’s mission,” said TLF Chairman and CEO Mr. Kim L. Hunter.

“Chris is incredibly committed to improving diversity and inclusion at his firm and across the public relations industry,” Hunter continued. “I look forward to partnering with him to improve our work in recruiting, developing and advancing top-tier ethnic minority talent.”

Foster has 27 years of communications experience, having led public awareness and communications campaigns for multifaceted organizations such as the U.S. Department of Defense, Johnson & Johnson and Sanofi, among others.

In his role at Burson-Marsteller, Foster spearheads the overall strategic efforts of the firm and works with the firm’s Global Leadership Team, of which he is a member, to facilitate strategic growth initiatives, executive level client counseling and business development across the agency’s global enterprise.

Foster is also on the Board of Directors of variety of organizations, including The International Association for Measurement of Communications (Vice Chair); Inroads, Inc.; and Burgundy Farms Country Day School. He is also a current member of the Executive Leadership Council. Foster has been a guest lecturer at Columbia University School of Continuing Studies – Communications Department; University of Maryland, School of Journalism; and Western Kentucky University.

Foster wrote the “Reputation Analytics & Corporate Strategy” chapter published within the NYSE Corporate Governance Guide in November 2014, and wrote the book “Reputation Strategy,” released in 2016.

“For us to truly make a difference for our clients, it is important we bring them a well-rounded perspective and that comes from being representative of the diverse marketplace,” said Foster. “Kim Hunter and TLF have been leaders in holding the industry accountable on the diversity issue and I look forward to partnering with him to provide even better training opportunities for the next generation of diverse communications talent.”
